Vinyasa is a practice of linking breath to movement, it is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga today. Our Vinyasa may encompass different types of yoga, including Ashtanga and Power. At Balance, we recommend participating in a Vinyasa 1 class if it is your first time doing this type of yoga.

Yin

Length: 60 minutes

Ashtanga Flow

60 minutes
NO HEAT

Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic, physical practice that synchronizes breath and movement (vinyasa) to produce an internal heat designed to purify the body. Ashtanga Flow is great for beginners as well as seasoned yogis. This class can feel more intense because it has a way of bringing you deeper within yourself. With no music in the background, you hear your own breath and the instructions of your teacher more clearly. There are fewer distractions, and a more singularly focused energy flows through the room. Ashtanga comes with all the benefits of a regular yoga practice--strength, flexibility, balance, stress management, and inner peace. There is no part of the body that doesn't work hard in this practice.
