Balance Yoga offers a class for everyone, no matter what level of practice you may be at today. Balance’s singular focus is providing the healthiest yoga environment possible, while nurturing a passionate, knowledgeable yoga community in the Lake Travis area. We feature a climate control and humidity system that cannot be found anywhere else.

Heated Classes - the studio will be heated to 95-98 degrees and humidity will be around 50%
No Heat Classes - the studio heat and humidity is turned off, no AC. Room temperature will vary based on outside temperature
Cooled Classes - AC is on

Vinyasa 1

Length: 60 minutes
NO HEAT

Great class for intermediates and beginners looking for a deeper yoga practice. Vinyasa 1 breaks down postures and instructors lead the flow at a slower, deliberate pace with emphasis on alignment and breath. This will help establish a good foundation and a comfortable environment to learn the beginning poses of the practice. Vinyasa is a practice of linking breath to movement, it is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga today. Our Vinyasa may encompass different types of yoga, including Ashtanga and Power. At Balance, we recommend participating in a Vinyasa 1 class if it is your first time doing this type of yoga.

Vinyasa 2

Length: 60 minutes
HEATED and NO HEAT Classes

Vinyasa 2 is a more vigorous flow, with emphasis on strength and flexibility. Vinyasa is a practice of linking breath to movement, it is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga today. Our Vinyasa may encompass different types of yoga, including Ashtanga and Power. Vinyasa 2 classes will vary in sequence and theming from week to week and teacher to teacher. A Vinyasa 2 class is great for students who are ready to take the next step in their yoga journey or a beginner practitioner that knows their own limits.

Fusion

Length: 60 minutes
HEATED

Fusion combines the traditional Hot 26 Yoga postures with other Vinyasa movements. It is a set series, that will vary slightly teacher to teacher, with longer holds and a flowing sequence. You will receive the benefits of a hot yoga class with further hip opening, upper body toning, and core strengthening. The moderate pacing of Fusion makes it accessible to beginner and seasoned practitioners. The studio will be heated to 95-98 degrees with added humidity.

Gentle Flow

Length: 60 minutes
COOLED - NO HEAT

The Gentle Flow practice is based on breath and synchronized movements. It is designed to increase body awareness and flexibility, with modifications available for all levels. It is a non heated class, with a slow pace, where you can share with your certified Yoga Teacher any concerns, injuries, or surgeries. Perfect for all ages and levels, and for those looking for a "cool" yoga practice.

Yin

Length: 60 minutes
NO HEAT

Family friendly Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga with restorative postures that are held for longer periods of time (4-5 minutes). These longer held poses work the deep layers of connective tissue that harden when we engage in vigorous physical activity. This class is perfect for runners, bikers, and all sports teams, as well as all ages and levels. No previous yoga experience is needed. Yin will leave you feeling grounded and deeply relaxed (often resulting in a better nights sleep!)

Yoga 101

Balance offers FREE Yoga 101 classes about once a month. Perfect for families of all ages! This is your chance to learn the basic poses of yoga (or refine an existing practice), and ask questions, taking any intimidation you may have away. It is an open class designed for beginners and seasoned practitioners. You will explore healthy alignment, core poses, and breath to movement, establishing a solid yoga foundation.

Crunch Before Brunch

Looking for a little extra before Sunday Brunch? This Vinyasa 2 practice with extra ab work is for you! This is a vigorous flow, with emphasis on strength, flexibility, and abs. This class is great for students who are ready to take the next step in their yoga journey or a beginner practitioner that knows their own limits.

Power Yoga

Length: 60 minutes
HEATED

Power Yoga will strengthen and rinse your body, remove emotional clutter, and create empowerment in your body, mind, and soul. Power Yoga is a vigorous, heated class based on the transformative Baptiste sequence. The balance of sweat and inspiration that is generated in a Power Yoga class will draw out your gold, and leave you standing in your personal greatness. Come explore, play, and discover what is possible for you! Power Yoga is accessible to every level of yogi, as long as they know their own limits and modify accordingly.

Guided Meditation

Length: 60 minutes
NO HEAT

Calm your mind, settle your body and find a softer focus to your day. Guided Meditation consists of a beginning breathwork with a brief description of that day's plan, then progressing into meditation drawing from many traditions which may include Mantra Meditation, Guided Imagery, Mindfulness, Chakra Crystal Singing Bowl Meditation and more. Beginners to practicing meditators will enjoy this class. Families welcome!

Ashtanga Flow

60 minutes

Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic, physical practice that synchronizes breath and movement (vinyasa) to produce an internal heat designed to purify the body. Ashtanga Flow is great for beginners as well as seasoned yogis. This class can feel more intense because it has a way of bringing you deeper within yourself. With no music in the background, you hear your own breath and the instructions of your teacher more clearly. There are fewer distractions, and a more singularly focused energy flows through the room. Ashtanga comes with all the benefits of a regular yoga practice--strength, flexibility, balance, stress management, and inner peace. There is no part of the body that doesn't work hard in this practice.

Yoga Sculpt

Vinyasa with the added thrill of hand weights! Yoga Sculpt will vary in sequence from week to week, but will always offer a challenge for those that are up for it. When you are not up for a little extra, just drop the weights. Great way to help tone your arms and abs, while still receiving the benefits of yoga! We would recommend at least one Vinyasa 1 class under your belt before stepping into a Sculpt class for the first time. Balance provides hand weights, but if you prefer your own, you are more than welcome to bring them along.

Mindful Movement

60 minutes
Cooled - No Heat

Mindful Movement will introduce the benefits of meditation and the foundation of yoga on a kid level. It will encourage kids to breathe and slow down, and also to move and stretch in a mindful way. Listening to their bodies, stilling their thoughts, and having fun! Each class will begin with a short guided meditation, followed by a beginner yoga practice, and end with savasana and the famous cold lavender Balance towels. This class is for the homeschool community as well as those that are home from school for the day. No prior yoga experience is needed, just an open mind, yoga mat, and a willingness to try new things in a welcoming, safe environment.
For ages 7-12 years old. Parent/Guardian must sign waiver before first class.

Buti Brunch

Every second Sunday of the month from 1:00-2:00 pm with Malia
Missing cardio in your yoga practice? Buti Yoga is the solution! No added heat needed for this one (unless marked on the calendar), you will generate your own! Buti®Yoga isn't a workout - it's a chance to create - let go - connect and sweat with intention. This calorie - scorching workout fuses power yoga with cardio-intensive body sculpting movement. Created by Celebrity Trainer Bizzie Gold, Buti® Yoga utilizes the Spiral Structure Technique® to sculpt + tone the deep abdominal muscles that stabilize and strengthen the body. Instead of linear movements, Buti® favors movements that challenge the body along all planes of motion. Balance Buti Brunch will include light snacks and drinks following this high intensity, calorie burning workout!

Inversion Workshop

In this Inversion Workshop, you will build the basic framework for safe inversions, specifically working with the anatomy and alignment in your shoulders and core (bandhas). After a warm-up sequence to include several "easier" arm balance poses, we will explore variations and preparation poses moving towards headstand, forearm balance, and handstand. We will finish the workshop with some heart opening backbends. @ 1:00 - 2:00 pm
